Article

Cricket is a game which is developed in 19th and 20th century in England. International matches have been played since 1844 and now it has become world’s 2nd biggest game after football. It is Pakistan’s most played and watched game and people of Pakistan are very passionate for this game and you can find fans of cricket of every age group in every city and village of Pakistan.
People of Hyderabad are also very passionate about this game and majority of people are crazy about this game. People of every age group are fans of this game in hyderabad whether they are children, students, Businessman, Officers, Labour or belongs to any category.
Gully cricket is the initial stage where every player starts playing cricket and Gully cricket is mostly played in hyderabad on weekly holidays i.e Friday or Sunday. Gully cricket mostly played in Ramzan nights in hyderabad and People of different areas arrange tournaments in their areas and townfolks play cricket till Sehri. Different areas challenge the other areas and fix the match and enjoy this game.
There is too much talent of playing cricket in people of hyderabad but they are unable to go to higher level of this game because of lack of academies in this city. Only few players from hyderabad have represented Pakistan's national cricket team at international level. Sharjeel khan and Muhammad hussnain are the players who are currently representing Pakistan cricket team at international level. But more players deserve to represent Pakistan team but they are unable because of least opportunities in the city. There is only one stadium i.e Niaz Stadium in the city which is also not in good condition and is ignored by Pcb from many years. So it is very hard to play cricket at higher level in the city which is the biggest loss of the talented players of the city and the Pakistan.
Niaz stadium in hyderabad has a historical values, the first ever hat-trick in One Day International took by Pakistan's Jalal-ud-Din at this stadium. The legend of Pakistan Javed miandad scored 280 not out runs at this ground which is his career best score, and now this ground has ignored completely by Pcb. Niaz stadium hosted its last one day on 24 Jan 2008 and after that it has been unable to host any international match.
When big events of crickets came like Worldcups, Pakistan Super league (Psl), the fever of cricket in people hyderabad is very high. Everyone is talking about these tournaments and matches and arrange big screens on roads and in their areas for big matches like India vs Pakistan to enjoy the cricket.
Some schools like county cambridge school, beacon house etc also arrange matches and cricket tournaments for the students of their school and students of these school from primary level to secondary level take part in these tournaments. School and colleges arrange tournaments for many games of sport but most of the students take part in cricket because fan following of cricket is much more than any other sport in Hyderabad.
So we can say that people of hyderabad love playing and watching cricket but this city is unable to get the chances they deserve. Pcb should pay attention to this city and the players from this city by working on the stadiums and by building some academies here in the city. So that young boys and girls get chances to show their talent in the game and take the name of their city to higher levels just like other players from biggest city making their own name and making their city proud.

Life Without Technology In Hyderabad
                                       Article by Talha Asghar
                                     2K18/MC/153
Technology nowadays is totally a time saver. It has made our existence tremendously stress-free and contented. It also summarizes our time and liveliness in any field of labor. As we all know, these days life without technology would be so alarming. Even we can’t visualize our life without technology, as it would be terrifying. Hyderabad city which is continually known as a small town is also a huge part of technology, developing the unabridged city is an enormous work but introducing technology can aware people about how backward they were before and what they can change as a country to be well known in the world.
Technology played a huge part in discovering Hyderabad as a city from a small town. Technology has so many advantages which made our life easier and a city well-developed. For example machine, telephone, Wi-Fi, mobile, laptop, transport, etc. All those technologies made our life easier but it also made us lazier because it bound us with itself. Today, we can’t even imagine our life without all those technologies. For example Today, we literally want mobile and Wi-Fi everywhere because, without Wi-Fi, we feel incomplete and boring. But life without technology has also so many advantages.
Hyderabad have become really advanced in technology, although there are still many institutes using the computers which aren't updated. Talking about latest mobile phones and other gadgets they are very up to date. People buy and sell it in a huge number in markets. About 98% of the city is in hold with the internet. HCC is one of the most active cable network in Hyderabad, 65% of the city is using HCC's cable as well as their cable net. Other Wi-Fi users are using PTCL and storm fiber very frequently now a days in Hyderabad.
As we all know, Nowadays mobile, laptop or Wi-Fi are the most important part of our daily life and it entertains us and it also helps us in different ways. But all those technologies just made us lazy and we all just waste our time using a laptop or mobile. Life without mobile, laptop or Wi-Fi appears so tedious but it has a lead to realization close to our family because when we use such types of gadgets we start ignoring our surroundings including our family. In fact, we ignore everyone. Even we can not pay attention to anything but without, we will able to gather with our family and beloved ones.
Technology like the mobile application is one of the most helpful aspects of our daily life and without any doubt it helps us a lot in many ways like we just pay our bills with those mobile applications. Different food ordering applications are also helping us to order food without going out. But all those applications made us extremely idle and physically hostile because using those applications, we can not even verve out for anything and it is compulsive as to be in a house arrest without regretting it. But life without mobile applications helps us to go out, feel fresh and being physically fit by doing a walk and it also made us do the thing on our own.
Life without technology is inconceivable. The era and the city we are living in well known with the help of technology. The reputation of our city is increased by the help of technology that’s why it's important for every being struggling with hardships and its important for those cities, towns and villages who want to be recognized and aware can be developed only with the help of technology.

How many net users are their?

What are the clubs doing for the young players of Mirpurkhas? Every sport is important for fitness and getting rid of anxiety. Now a days people prefer to play cricket and it’s very famous sport of cities and villages of Pakistan. Cricket is passion of some people, they play for clubs to improve their technic and build up stamina to play for long. It depends on the coaches and management of the clubs that how they groom the players to play next level cricket.

Famous clubs of Mirpurkhas are Akbar Shaheed club, Zain Meo club, Evergreen club, Khan boys club, etc, these are the clubs who produced players like Taj Wasan, Sadam Arain, Behram Khan, Suleman , Akeel Anjum, Zeeshan Meo, Shahid Pahnwar, Awais Ahmad ,Umair Ahmad, Lala Feroz and many others, who played next level cricket like, National under 19 team, Faisal bank cup, Quaid-e-Azam trophy and other first class (FC) events.

Shaheed Benazeer cricket stadium, PCB cricket ground, comprehensive ground, satlite town scheme 2 ground, and some other grounds in the surrounding of Mirpurkhas are famous and these grounds host different type of tournaments and teams of other cities of Sindh like Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Badin, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Umerkot come to play with different Mirpurkhas cricket clubs. Players of Mirpurkhas club’s are not satisfied with the facilities given in the grounds. They want more facilities to perform well for their teams, for the fans who love them and for themselves also.

If we plant a tree but do not water it then the tree will not grow up and become fade, like that if we do not look after cricket and cricket players they will not grow up. According to plsyers Pakistan cricket board is not cooperating with them but  some famous citizens like, Haji Jabbar Halepoto, Kareem Wassan,Junaid Buland, Waheed Abbasi and his brothers and many others are serving players and Mirpurkhas cricket to keep it alive. They are happy and  are also thankfull for the services of these famous personalties. Players and common people love these personalties because they support cricket and cricketers.

After having interviews of some players I got to know that what are the clubs doing for the future of young players of Mirpurkhas. Players in their interviews said that club cricket is very interesting format of cricket and they learn a lot of things from it. In an interview a young player Behram Khan said that club cricket is the starting point of professional cricket, through it players like him get the chance of playing next level cricket. A best all-rounder Taj Wasan said that club cricket entertain the people and it’s a way of learning for players like him.

Some players had complaints in their interviews on the selection method of Pakistan cricket board. Majority  of players were strictly against the Pakistan cricket board’s decision of eliminating regional cricket from domestic cricket structure, because by that step young players will have less chances to show off their talent and performance infront of selectors. Some players in their interview  requested Pakistan cricket board to give some funds to the clubs for those players whose technic and game is good but they can not afford to play cricket because of crises.

Ofcourse it’s Pakistan cricket board’s duty to issue funds, because if  you can not give proper chances to the players then atleast keep the club cricket alive because people also love this format of cricket. It’s also every common people’s duty to encourage club cricketers and support them. Club cricketer’s priority is to get love from their fans. Most of the players play club cricket because of local fans love, play for those who identify the players by their names. Club cricket of Mirpurkhas has got talent and these players are trying hard to serve the Nation

Pakistani clothes express the Culture of Pakistan, the Demographics of Pakistan and regional Cultures which include Punjabi culture, Sindhi culture, Balochi culture, Pashtun culture and Kashmiri culture. Dresses in each regional culture reflect weather conditions, the way of living and the distinctive style which gives it a unique identity across all cultures.
Pakistani dressing has similarities with Indian dressing because of pre-partition culture which was shared by these nations for thousands of years. Traditional Pakistani dressing also shares similarities between the ethnic groups of central Asia and ethnicities of the Iranian plateau such as the Turkic ethnic groups (i.e. Kazakhs, Uzbeks, Turkmens) and Iranian ethnic groups (Tajiks, Khorasani Persians and Pashtoons), that have been separate from the cultures of modern day Pakistan during the Durand agreement between Afghanistan and the British raj. With the passage of time Pakistanis are adapting modern dress and cultural clothing, especially in big countries.
The shalwar kameez is the national dress of Pakistan and is worn by men and women in all four provinces Punjab, Sindh, Baluchistan, Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa and FATA in the country and in Azad Kashmir. Each province has its own style of wearing the Shalwar Qameez. Pakistanis wear various clothing depending on the colors and the type of fabric (silk, chiffon, cotton, etc.).
Men across Pakistan prefer shalwar kameez with some additional accessories which include Pakistani Waistcoat, Achkan and Sherwani with the shalwar kameez or with Churidar Pajama. Jinnah Cap also called Karakul, Fez also called Rumi Topi and Taqiyah (cap) is used with Shalwar Kameez. Khussa is a popular foot wear with shalwar kameez. Men like to wear traditional shawls made of Pashmina or other warm materials, especially in Northern part of the country.
With regional clothing, Balochi women wear heavy embroidered Shalwar Kameez and Dupatta depending on the weather conditions. They wear Kameez full of heavy Embroided Shisha work. Sindhi costumes have different styles of embroidery and some women use Ajrak as Dupatta. these women also wear bangles in their traditional way. Punjabi women prefer light embroidery on simple Shalwar Kameez or Kurta. Traditional Lacha and Bangles are also used. Paranda is the traditional, colorful and unique Punjabi item which is used to tie hair. Pathan women wear embroided Kameez with a farak with a heavy Dupatta. Kashmiri phiran style kameez has heavy embroidery on the front neck of the kameez and is often made of wool.

WOMEN DRESSES

With women's religious clothing, it’s aimed to cover all their body parts except face and hands when going outside from their home. Most women will cover their heads with Dupatta or Chadar when outside, but religious women prefer to wear a Scarf, Burqa or Hijab with long full sleeve shirts.
With the passage of time Pakistani women have started to adapt new styles some of which are the combination of Pakistani and Western clothing. Like women wear Embroided Kurta with Jeans and Trousers. Tight half sleeve and sleeveless shirts with Capri Trousers have also been adopted.

WAR OF STREAMING SERVICES

"I founded Netflix. I've built it steadily over 12 years now, first with DVD becoming profitable in 2002, a head-to-head ferocious battle with Blockbuster and evolving the company toward streaming."
In 2011, Netflix's founder-cum-CEO Reed Hastings said above statement in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, when a price hike misstep by him, prompted lost around 800,000 subscribers, slumped the company's market value to half and almost derailed the future of the company.

Subsequently, Netflix's finance team sound strategy combined with Reed Hastings rendered "I messed up" apology note to a slew of livid subscribers and skeptical investors turned the tide in Netflix favor. With a year later, the company's streaming subscriber numbers mushroomed. Moreover, Netflix was hailed as the "best-performing stock of the decade".

However, Netflix's peerless position in the streaming space was challenged by the deep-pocketed upstarts. The Hollywood powerhouse Walt Disney Co., to tech giant Apple Inc., all lined to oust the streaming king, subsequently commences the streaming wars.
The streaming wars began two years ago, with the entrance of Disney in the streaming television with the launch of their own streaming service named Disney+. The streaming service racked up 10 million subscribers on its launch day, also predicted to draw in 100 million subscribers by 2025. But that doesn't make Disney+, a big deal in the streaming race.
What makes Disney a potential rival to Netflix was its vast library of popular shows and movies, ranging from Disney's  enamored animated films to Marvel's top-notch superhero movies, plus pitching the service at a lowball price of $7 dollar per month, compared to Netflix's $13. The smart, pricing move meld with stellar content made the Disney+ formidable in the online subscription market.
Disney's foray within the streaming TV market in last November, was clashed by Apple's own streaming service. Tech behemoth Apple rolled out its streaming arm called Applet+. Though, Apple TV Plus is a minnow, when compared with Netflix and Disney's massive libraries. However, the streaming services has poached A-list actors and content creators to offer to their subscribed members.
Entering the lucrative South Asian market in the picture. India has already emerged as the latest battleground for media bigwigs. To the extent that, Netflix's CEO Reed Hastings asserted the "next 100 million users of the Netflix will come from India". His rival Amazon Prime Video, snagged the Bollywood's cream to produce local content with the likes of Akshay Kumar and Anushka Sharma. Besides, the streaming service released 10 original Indian shows in 2019 alone. While Disney+ is just too, prepping to make its debut to capture the booming Indian market in May 2020.
Meanwhile, in this streaming race, Pakistan's role compared to its larger neighbor is peripheral. However, streaming juggernauts were captivated by Pakistan's growing market and versatile acting talent. Consequently, Pakistani drama star Zahid Ahmed was roped in for Netflix's first original series from Pakistan. Moreover, another Pakistani web-series titled "Mind Games" is probably going to feature on Netflix, as indicated by the series creators.
The streaming wars are escalating across the world. According to a report by The Diffusion Group, all major TV media could launch on-demand streaming services by 2022. “Big media companies are reacting more boldly to changes in TV viewing behavior,” Mike Berkley, TDG senior advisor and author of the new report, said. “Consolidating, bulking up on originals and marketing directly to consumers are driving their strategic direction.”
However, on streaming wars, from Disney to Apple executives denied there is one. Netflix's CEO, even called streaming wars "a good thing for business." But, the recent move by Disney to ban Netflix ads on its networks highlighted the extreme competition.
The on-demand video streaming is approximately $24 billion industry. With the video subscription market is predicted to reach $687.2 billion by 2024. Hence, every major player in the game wants to grab a bigger piece of the pie.

Language As A Barrier in Learning

Waseem Akram

 2k18/MC/165

Whenever it comes to learn something, language is considered as the essential limb. Whether it is concerned with education, literature, culture, art or skill. If one has not command over the language one could not express and learn appropriately.

Learning more languages is helpful to learn more things but it becomes a curse and barrier in the learning process, when it is not appropriately learned. In simple terms, if a student does not understand the language spoken by the teacher in class-room then ideas and information can’t be passed long. Pakistan is one of 44 countries with large number of population, without access to education in mother tongue.

Language remains along with humans from cradle to death.  A child has to learn language, so that he could learn survival manners and societal culture. Moreover a child grows with innovative ideas and his native language becomes a mean for demonstration. If children are not allowed to speak in their native language a bulk of ideas can be killed. Language barriers also impact negatively learners, as they can cause frustration. Learner may feel inadequate, shameful and sad for not being able to understand. Second language learners feel a fear to express themselves and concern that they will be mocked if they will  try to speak in a new language, that's all can cause emotional stress and may interfere with learning.

Education is an essential source of learning which is also can be used for progress of human being in terms of emotions, intellectual  physical and spiritual. Education allows one to spend a peaceful and happy life. But it could be possible if there is a language barriers in education system. These barriers arise when different languages are spoken. Everyone has its own language belongs to different regions, and ethnicity.  For instance: Siraeki, Dhatki, Balochi etc. .These all languages are spoken together, there will be must a confliction  over misunderstanding of concept or   certain meaning of the word.

During colonial era of Britain in subcontinent language policy in education was that Urdu was the educational medium of general masses while English for elite .This colonial era policy was crucial and criticize earlier in 1880 for severely divorcing the people of Punjab from their sociolinguistic roots. Punjabi speakers were not educated in Punjabi and their lost approach from their folk knowledge. Meanwhile Hindu Punjab were not educated and conscious  in Sanskrit and Punjabi Muslims were not educated in Persian, so that both groups lost contact with literary sources of their cultures.

Language is also deeply concerned with education. Generally,  in school college and universities course schemes are organized in that language which are not native. If students have no grip over language in which students are learning, it will be not only stressful to learn but also refrain to generate creative ideas. The Global Monitoring Report On Education For All In 2015, reveals that worldwide the choice of language instructions and language policy in schools is critical for effective learning.

A conclusive point of a  research under British council namely “ Teaching and Learning in Pakistan: Role of language in Education” enumerates that  if children become literate in their home language first than later learning of foreign language or second language ( e.g. English, Chinese) is likely to be more successful than if the foreign language than or second  language is used as the medium of instruction.

Although arts or skill is not directly concerned with language, but it can be demonstrated through the language, inform of instructions, techniques, tips and tricks. If one loss the focus from all these elements whether expressed or written in during learning, owing to poor linguistic skills. Obviously, it will resist the learner.

Language is an important part of culture and nation. It connects people together and helps to learn and understand their culture, history, and literature. Likewise, Sindh has broad culture, literature, and history. There is number of people who do not understand the Sindhi language, so they remain deprived and unconscious about such elements.

These barriers can be replaced by technology. Translation is an activity of communication between languages through which one can learn anything concerned with education, literature, history, art and other things. Individually it can be done through online translators. This way, mighty ideas could be prevented from devastation and defend from imposing of foreign language.

Thar is a unique and vibrant part of Sindh. Some define it as the land of peace and peacocks. And some define it as traditional colors of peace in the form of cultural handmade stuff. all in their place but Hardships and harmony of Thar is difficult to understand unless people pay their visit to Thar, sitting in luxury life could not help to figure out the lifestyle of people of Thar. and how they manage travel of miles and kilometers to get water from well, depth of 150-250 feet pulling the rope with the help of Camels.

Thar is a remote area of Sindh, when it rains people make most from their lands and their cattle's, but not every time. they do suffer rest of the year even they suffer a lot when there is famine. however, their working women help them out through their creative work of traditional stuff like rallies, Gaaj (traditional bridal dress)

Suicide- An Attempt to End Miseries

Areeba Haroon
2k18/MC/30`
Nowadays suicide is like an option to every human problem. One thinks that committing suicide will end his miseries and will bring peace to everyone around him. Feeling suicidal mostly happens when one doesn’t see any solution to the on-going problems in life.
According to the report of WHO (World Health Organization) in every 40 seconds, an individual ends his life which makes the total of 800,000 or close per year around the world. There can be slight possibility of more than 20 or so trying to attempt suicides. In the report of organization (WHO) suicide rate has increased 60% in last 45 years.
Going further, if we narrow it down to our country Pakistan, a recent report by Human Rights Commission, 1338 people committed suicide in 2018, the majority of were men (786), while women were 553 in number. It was the latest research; the ratio of last year is still not confirmed.
With all these happenings in the world, only one question remains intact that why would someone do this? What makes them do this horrible act to leave everything behind them, their work, relations and most of all a chance to make life better than before? What can be so horrifying that one chooses to die rather than solves it?
There can be many reasons to do this act and justify it, but mentioned in many different sites, article, surveys and reports; some people dealing with issues like depression, anxiety, loneliness and mainly feeling helpless commit suicide.
Mostly, depression happens if someone faces death of a close person or an end of any relationship, this is a stage, where one doesn’t know what to do or cope up with the situations. They get loaded up with the feelings of sadness and hurt, and these feelings hover over the senses to think with a proper mind-set.
Second, is anxiety, it is more likely to happen when one is suffering from stress or fear, which is likely to happen, when someone is facing financial problems and don’t know how to look after his family financially, job loss and unemployment.
Loneliness is the third reason, one often feels alone and isolated, when he is bullied in public or in academic  institutes, body shamed or humiliated about every little thing and in getting rid of all this, does commit suicide which is just an impulsive act to end all of this.
Forth is helplessness, which is very common in our society, one has this feelings that nothing can be done to solve any problem. These feelings usually come when one is arrested on false accusation or have an academic pressure.
But not all of them want to die; some of them want to live and see a new sunrise with a new start but just don’t know who to reach out for help or comfort, some of them just think themselves nothing more than a burden to their family and friends, and they find death an ultimate solution for everything.
Like a recent case of suicide in Qasimabad Hyderabad, a 22 year old boy named Hamza hung himself and died because of domestic issue, and a well known face, designer Anam Tanoli, aged 26 killed her by hanging from the ceiling in October, 2018.
Almost every reason to commit suicide is mentioned above but, the non-obvious reason which we all fail to notice, is that these people try to find support in every possible thing around them but don’t get any. And we as an audience don’t know how to handle and behave in front of these people, thus they don’t get any type of support. This eventually hurt them to this extent that they try to commit suicide.
There are many other cases, but the question is until when? It is on the government to make institutes, introduce suicide prevention ways and give class to both depressed person for stress-relieve and people around them that how should they handle things with these people. It is our responsibility as human beings to care about people around us. See if they need any help, do they need a shoulder to rely on? There should be support groups for these people to discuss their problems and activities to release their stress and see a world with positive mind-set.

There can be many reasons to do this act and justify it, but some people dealing with issues like depression, anxiety, loneliness and mainly feeling helpless commit suicide, but some of them do this because either it is their impulsive act or they made a huge mistake, and other people don’t know how to get help, or think themselves as a burden. (Experts reports research etc attribution bcz this is not otherwise ur subject)

Lack of support system is main cuase
