Keep your
creativity with yourself doesn't make you an artist but the real artists are
those who share their creativity with others. At first, you never know what
your passion is and what do you want from your life. Even sometimes we people
just wandering for seeking out opportunities; meanwhile the right path is usually
just in front of us.
While having
a visit to my friend’s house at Latifabad unit 08, I randomly met one of my
seniors, 22-years old Muzammil, who is now a freelancer, photographer and a
Vlogger. Well-dressed, good looking and now a professional at his work, he was
giving a free training to the students in a street of that area at that time. I
reached him and asked him to share his views about what kind of trainings he
offers to the students and what circumstances made him to serve the society
through this platform. He informed me that he freely offers every new course
related to freelancing photography and video making. He said, “I do more focus
on freelancing photography as photography has become one of the highly paid
professions in Pakistan. It's a field of people who have great aesthetic sense.
A creative person can earn both money and fame from this field.”
He further
told me, “On weekends, I set up photo walks in different cities like Makli,
Mirpurkhas, Thar etc, provide cameras and other accessories to my students who cannot
afford to go academy to make their future on their own.”
He proudly
said that now many of his students are at very good positions. Someone became a
wedding photographer and few are serving Graphic Designing on freelancing
sites. Muzammil polished their skills and made them able to earn and utilize
their skills.
Belong from
a middle class family, the beloved one of his parents and fortunately was
having all the luxuries, he was fully enjoying his life because once in a
lifetime we all are at the stage of craziness where especially boys become fond
of doing adventurous things like riding, hiking, Scuba diving and all that.
While sharing his life tragedy, he said, “One day my friends called me to go
for outing and have fun while racing. I got my keys, sat over my bike and went
for outing. My Friends challenged me to ride and to keep my bike high up till 1
minute. I did and all of sudden a truck crossed over me and after that what
happened to me I don't know. I was hospitalized for months. One day the doctor
told to my mother that your son will possibly get recovered but I don't think
so he will stand up again on his own legs. He might be paralyzed for lifetime.
Since that day I used to think myself useless and was wondering how that one
minute changed my entire life.”
Adding to
that, he further said,” I never gave up on myself. I made up my mind to start fighting
against my disability and got succeed ALHUMDULILAH. Now I can stand up and run
as well.”
“I am an
ordinary person and a student who wasn't really interested in studies. That's
why after completing my higher studies, I joined an academy, ARENA Multimedia,
to learn multiple courses like photography, video making, graphic designing
etc, for the sake of doing something better rather than riding that can bring
my life back at risk. A year later, I received my certificates and polished my
skills through giving free training to the people.”
“My teacher,
named Saad, at ARENA told me to help them who cannot help themselves. This
saying hit me hard and I, from that time, decided to provide a free learning
platform to those who want to start their career as a photographer.”
Then, one of
his students admired his efforts and said,” Sir Muzammil is quite down-to-earth
person. He does not scold us even on our mistakes and we are learning a lot
from this professional man.”
At last, Muzammil
quoted one of the famous Indian poets Rabindranath Tagore words, "I slept
and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service. I acted
and behold, service was joy.” Muzammil implemented these words in his real life
through this free training initiative.
People like
Muzammil give motivation and become a role model for the ones who give up early
in their lives and if any incident happen with them, they lose their hopes. Life
always offers us a second chance, so if you're lucky enough to get a second
chance don't waste it.
